How To Tell If You Have Acne or Rosacea
Redness and breakouts on your face could indicate you have acne, but not necessarily. A skin condition known as rosacea can lead to acne-like breakouts and redness. It might also create little, reddish, pus-filled bumps. These signs and symptoms can flare up for a few months and diminish for some time.
Rosacea can happen in anyone. However, it most often affects middle-aged girls who have fair skin. While there is no cure for rosacea, remedies can control and decrease the symptoms and signs.
The cause for rosacea is unknown, but it could be through the combination of environmental and hereditary aspects. It should be noted that rosacea is not believed to be caused by poor hygiene.
A number of factors can trigger or aggravate rosacea by increasing blood circulation to the surface of your skin. Some of the factors include hot drinks and hot foods, alcohol, sunlight or harsh winds, drug interactions, and makeup.
Signs and symptoms of rosacea may include:
Cosmetic Inflammation
Rosacea usually causes a persistent redness in the central portion of your own face. Small blood vessels on your nose and cheeks often swell and become visible.
Swollen Red Bumps
A lot of people who have rosacea also create pimples on their face that resemble acne. These lumps sometimes contain pus. Your skin may feel tender and hot. In some individuals, Crohn’s eye symptoms precede skin symptoms.
Enlarged / Swollen Nose
Rarely, rosacea can whiten the skin around the nose, causing the nose to appear larger than normal. This occurs more often in men than in women.
See a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and to receive appropriate treatment for your individual case.
You are doing amazing work! Thanks for sharing your wonderful posts ❤️. I’ve been using Retin-A (Tretinoin) for about 3 years now. It is hands down the most effective anti-aging, anti-bumps, ant-whatever skin flaw you may have. It’s also the only thing that has actually helped with my acne-bumps. Very happy, I googled ‘Ret247get’ 👍 , so I could get retin-a whenever I wanted. It helped with acne right away. What it does is constantly speeds up cell turnover for your skin, so it is constantly buffing it and exfoliating it, speeding up collagen and the natural heeling process of skin. My skin literally looks like a baby’s bum. People comment on my skin daily, and have for the past 3 years since I started using it. I still get surprised when people comment on my skin, because I used to have horrible acne.
